  1. The best way to lose weight is to eat healthy,nutritious food and excercise regularly! I know it sounds boring, but it really is the best way. Healthy, nutritious food doesn’t just mean raw vegetables and fruit all the time, and no butter or oil. You actually need to eat some fats as they are an important component of cell membranes. You just have to eat the right foods – good, complex carbohydrates likes grains, protein and a little bit of fat and sugar and excercise regularly. Excercising increases your metabolism (metabolism= breaking down food, absorbing nutrients,using nutrients to build cells or provide energy). Excercise also means that any excess energy you get from eating too much food is used up,instead of being stored in the body as fat.

    If you exercise regularly, even just a bit like going for a long walk three times a week, it’s more effective than trying a crash or fad diet. Diets aimed at rapid weight loss,like the cabbage soup diet or the lemon juice diet, aren’t really good for you as they don’t provide you with enough energy and nutrients for the day. Did you know that you need at least 2500 calories a day just so your body can function normally? So if you are having less than that, it might induce your body to break down fat but it will make you unhealthy because you aren’t getting the proteins and carbohydrates you need. So stick with the good food and the regular excercise instead.

  2. It’s a simple energy balance equation really. You need to burn more energy (by exercising or day to day activities) than you put in through eating. Crash diets don’t seem to work, the best approach is to adopt healthy habits in eating and regular exercise
