Sadly, for me anyway, science is not all about blowing things up. I sometimes wish it was. My work is with living cells, so we do want to kill the cancer cells but blowing them up won’t work as a long term cure in patients 😉 A lot of science is about persisting with a problem and coming up with new ways to answer a question.Sometimes that means quite boring and long experiments, but often the results make up for it.And when you get a good result it makes everything worthwhile.
Unfortunately science is not always about blowing things up.
Science is really about learning things that nobody knows. This could be anything. Curing a disease, finding out what dark matter is, or anything that is unknown.
