I have read lots of scientific information about global warming and climate change, and I think it is clear that people are having a huge impact on our planet. Human activity has increased the amounts of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and this has caused global warming.
What I am not sure about is the best thing to do about it, but I am trying to use less energy and less resources. I don’t own a car, I cycle or I catch public transport. I try to buy locally made things, and I reuse and recycle as much as I can. I try and turn things off at the powerpoint when I’m not using them and pick light bulbs and electrical applicances that are as efficient as possible.
This is my personal response to what I have read about global warming and climate change.
There is a lot of scientific evidence that humans are having a large impact on our planet, including the climate. After having read a lot of this information I have decided to try and reduce my impact as much as I can.
I minimise my energy and water and collect rain water for my garden. I recycle everything I can, including water and try to minimise the amount of rubbish that I generate. I grow my own vegetables and try to buy things that are made locally. I also try to buys things that will last a long time and can be recycled at the end of their life.
