I really like looking at skin cells because there are many different types of cells in skin.
For example, there are keratinocytes (the cells on the surface of your skin) which have to constantly reproduce as dead cells come off with every day wear and tear.
There are also melanocytes, which produce the reddish or brownish pigment in your skin and protect you against the sun’s rays.
And fibroblasts, which produce collagen which make your skin stretchy, but really strong and tough…
I could go on forever! Cells are really really fun to look at!
