  1. I am making a vaccine for malaria, and in the next two years I plan to do a clinical trial to test the safety and the effectiveness of the vaccine in people. Eventually I want my vaccine to be used in developing worlds where malaria is a big threat, but the first clinical trial will be held in Australia. This will let me test the vaccine on healthy people first, to make sure the vaccine activates the immune system and protects against malaria.

  2. In the next two years I plan to start working more closely with stroke patients to investigate how their sensation and perception of their body is affected. The hope is that this will lead to knew therapies for stroke patients with sensory and motor problems.

  3. In the next two years I hope to find out whether the drug I’m investigating will treat prostate cancer and whether the gene I’m studying is involved in ovarian and colon cancer. I’ve also done some work on another totally different breast cancer treatment, so we’re hoping that we can find a drug company who wouldbe willing to fund some more research and take it to clinical trials.
